In anticipation for this Sunday's EMW MegaBrawl 3, EMW has decided to have threads on the EMW Specials Forums that are dedicated to the matches for this Sunday's EMW MegaBrawl 3 from the Hyman Memorial Stadium in the heart of downtown Vice City.
EMW Women's Championship
Battle Of The Vampire Slayers Extreme Rules Match
Faith Lehane (c) vs. Buffy Summers
They were considered as the best Women's Tag Team in EMW. Together they have been the standard of the Women's Tag Team Division in EMW. Now, it's all history and now these two former tag team partners and friends go to battle under Extreme Rules for the Women's Championship at MegaBrawl 3.
Slayers Origins
Both Buffy and Faith started in EMW together as a Women's Tag Team entitled The Vampire Slayers. At EMW's first ever Mega Event entitled Barely Legal, The Vampire Slayers became the first ever EMW Women's Tag Team Champions after winning a one night tournament. Since then, The Slayers became the top Women's Tag Team in EMW by defeating top teams like Extreme Stratusfaction, The Charmed Ones, The Simpson Sisters and Team G4 and has held an EMW record 4 EMW Women's Tag Team title reigns.
"If you think of the Women's Tag Team Division here in EMW, The Vampire Slayers are the first ones that comes to mind." said EMW Owner & Founder Theo Clardy. "Many of the teams in the division have come and gone but The Vampire Slayers have proven their staying power in EMW."
Their friendship
To the EMW locker room, The Vampire Slayers were not only teammates but they were almost like sisters outside the ring.
"It was always been the norm on the road here in EMW." said EMW Starlet Blaze Fielding. "If Buffy were to show up in a location on our nights off from shows, Faith is not that far behind and vice versa. They were not only just friends but they were pretty cool people to hang around once you get to know them."
A Sudden Twist Of Faith
Just when The Slayers were on the hunt for a 5th EMW Women's Tag Team Title reign, Buffy Summers shocked the world as she announced her pregnancy which causes her maternity leave from EMW.
"It was a huge shocker around the Starlets locker room." said EMW Starlet Carmen Electra. "But we were so proud of her and wished her well in her pregnancy."
With this news, Faith arrived into singles competition where critics believed that Faith would have to face some serious competition. But Faith's evolution from Tag Team to Singles competition was improving in a very fast pace that couldn't be ignored.
"Faith evolution has raised some eyebrows and brought some attention to the Starlets locker room and to the Board Of Directors." said Theo Clardy. "She was working harder than anyone has ever seen her and it shows in the ring."
That hard work lead her to the biggest match of her career and to the biggest victory of her career as she defeated the then Undefeated Gina Carano at EMW SummerJam 2K9 to become the EMW Women's Champion. Afterwards, Faith celebrated her win with Buffy who was in the front row watching the event
"I talked to Faith and Buffy after that match and there was so much joy in both of their faces. Faith told me that her hard work has finally paid off and she thanked me for the opportunity." Clardy said. "She also told me that she was happy that Buffy was there for that moment."
Dream Turns To A Nightmare
On November Pain 2009, Faith Lehane's dream reign as EMW Women's Champion turned into a bad nightmare as a returning Buffy Summers helped Faith retain the EMW Women's title, only for Buffy to knock out Faith with a steel chair, providing one of the most shocking moments in EMW history.
"I was watching the whole thing on a monitor in the Starlets locker room along with Christina and Carmen and we were shocked over what has happened." said one half of The Pop Icons Britney Spears. "We have been in this company since day one and to see this happen, I almost cried."
After that shocking moment, Buffy revealed a more darker side that we have never seen from her. She blamed Faith and the EMW fans for the situation she was in and even wanted to fight Faith but Faith refused due to the oath that both her and Buffy vowed to each other when they arrived in EMW.
Former EMW Starlet and sister of Buffy Summers, Dawn Summers said, "It was a sacred oath that they made to fight at each other's side instead of each other. Believe me, I seen them fight each other when they were at each other's throats and it's never pretty."
Oath Broken
On EMW's Saturday Night's Main Event, Buffy Summers brought out something from Faith's past. A Wooden Stake with Human Blood that is dried up. This sparked Faith to confront her former partner and then she finally attacked Buffy which was something that Buffy wanted from the start.
"It was really hard for me to watch." said Theo Clardy. "These are two women that has been family here in EMW and they were like sisters to each other and to see that was just difficult all around."
Conclusion
The fight no EMW fan thought will ever see will finally happen this Sunday and it will be under Extreme Rules for the EMW Women's Championship. But in this match, the title is not the only thing on the line, it may be their careers!
