NIWA Saturday Night Showdown
MTS Centre
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
(The show begins recapping a memorable NIWA Homecoming show that saw arguably the most shocking ending in NIWA history. Where "The Wrestling Badass" Shelton Benjamin, dressed as Spiderman defeated James Bond to take the NIWA World Heavyweight Championship, violating the Annualversary VI contract, as well as his current suspension.)
(As expected, NIWA President Mr. CC is in the ring, to issue a statement of the turn of events at last week's NIWA HOME HOMECOMING event)
CC: As you might expect, I haven't been in the best of moods for the past week. NIWA Homecoming, which in my mind was going to be the greatest Saturday Night Showdown in NIWA History, turned into a night of complete disasters, backstage assaults, and topped off with an unprofessial jackass illegally walking out the NIWA World Champion, and that jackass' name is Shelton Benjamin. (Crowd Boos) Now NIWA officals as well as myself have contacted Shelton about giving back the title, which to probably no surprise to any one, those were completely ingored from said Shelton Benjamin. Now while the week went on and I expected to be more and more pissed off about this...I actually should thank Shelton about something, because all of this...has given me an idea. (Crowd Cheers) So for the record...no, Shelton Benjamin is not the NIWA World Heavyweight Champion, and no, I am not giving the NIWA World Title back to James Bond. (Crowd Boos) Hold on, cause I have decided we are going to crown a brand new champion, and that champion will be crowned, at Fight at the Fair 6 in Wisconsin. At Fight at the Fair 6, for the first time in NIWA History, we are going to have one night, eight man tournament to crown the new NIWA World Heavyweight Champion. (Crowd Cheers) Now these eight superstars are all former NIWA World Champions, which will include Shelton Benjamin, because frankly the fact that you pulled something like that...I want to see you suffer, and it will be my delight should you go deep in this tournament to get beat down time after time. So those superstars includer, Shelton, the former champion James Bond, JTH, Terrell Owens, Drew Galloway, Ganondorf, Shadow the Hedgehog, ...and Spiderman! (Crowd Cheers) Yes, thanks to you Shelton dawning your little Spidey costume, you offically recognized Spiderman as an NIWA World Heavyweight Champion, and in the record books, it will state that Spiderman became the NIWA World Champion, so in result, I think fair that the former champion Spiderman gets to take part in the tournament. The entire tournament will take place at Fight at the Fair and the first round matches will be announced later in the week on EMWNation Forums, so stay tuned for that information. Thank you for your time and enjoy tonight's show. (Crowd Cheers as CC leaves)
(And a big main event NIWA has in store tonight, in Shelton Benjamin reinstatment into the company, he is being thrown in the fire as he will go one on one with the man that he stole the NIWA World Title from in "007" James Bond.)
Non-Title Match
"Angry Video Game Nerd" defeated NIWA North American Champion The Shredder via pinfall at 13:23
(Screen shows a video package for Fight at the Fair 6, which will take place on Thrusday, July 31st, from the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds)
(Link & Spiderman are in the ring. During the video package, this was aired on the titantron)
Link: Shelton Benjamin, you dare take out my partner, my friend. Well how about next week, on Saturday Night Showdown, I take you out myself. Then at Fight at the Fair 6, my buddy takes out seven other men and becomes the next...NIWA World Champion.
Spidey: Shelton Benjamin, you pulled a fast one on all of NIWA. But just remember one thing important thing. The good guys always win in the end. (Clip ends and Link and Spidey are in the ring ready for their opponents)
Link & Spiderman defeated Hugo & Money in the Bank Winner Goldar via Spiderman pinning Goldar at 13:31
(In complete darkness, a torch is lit with a figure barely being shown)
Voice: They say "Where there is light, you will always find darkness." But darkness for far too long, was blinded by the light. But no more... (The figure walks forward and becomes more clear, it is revealed to be "The King of Evil" Ganondorf, as the crowd boos)
Ganon: The time for following the light, is over. Only darkness remains. My light, is not the only light that I seek to extinguish. I will put out all brightness that exists in all of you. So to all who dare choose to face me...(Looks to the torch in his hand, then back to the camera) Your future...is dark. (Ganon then turns to the torch and blows it out and the screen goes black.)
(Ganondorf is in single's action. Next!)
"The King of Evil" Ganondorf defeated Agent J via submission by Ganon Claw at 5:24. After the match, Ganondorf threatens the referee back and then grabs J by the throat and then drills him with a chokeslam and stands over him to massive boos, which only makes Ganondorf laugh.
(NIWA President Mr. CC looks on at the monitor, not believing what is going on while watching in his office)
Tommy Vercetti defeated Jet Li via submission by Vice City Vice at 12:31
(Backstage, Adrenaline A is backstage for an interview)
AA: Ladies and gentlemen, joining me right now is "007" James Bond. (Bond enters in a less than happy mood) James, obviously you must be far from pleased that the NIWA title was not given back to you after the contraversary surrounding last week. How do you move on from that?
Bond: Well, make no question, I am not happy with what happened, but it's not because I wasn't given back the NIWA World Title. I'm upset that I put the NIWA in this position. If I had just beaten that masked phoney in the first place, it never would have come to this. So now I have get my title back old fashioned way, defeat seven other men in an eight man tournament. Starting with the man who I was supposed to face that horrible night one week ago. Hopefully this time, Spiderman and I can have the match we were hoping to have the first time.
AA: Now what about Shelton Benjamin, he's been put into the tournament by CC, and he is still carrying around the title despite being stripped of it eariler tonight. You face him in a little while, what do you plan to do to him tonight.
Bond: Shelton Benjamin stole my title one week ago...tonight I'm taking it back. And then at Fight at the Fair 6...I'm claiming it again. I promise you. (Crowd Cheers and walks away)
The Warios defeated NIWA Junior Heavyweight Champion "Mr. Wrestlemania" JTH & Drew Galloway via Wario pinning JTH at 13:53 after JTH nailed the Wrestlemania Kick on Wario, JTH was spun around and drilled with a Future Shock DDT by Drew and dragged Wario onto JTH for the 3 count. Drew and JTH are set to take part in the NIWA World Title Tournament at Fight at the Fair 6 and it seems Drew Galloway has sent a message to JTH that his future may look dim.
(Screen shows James Bond making his way to the ring, and then shows Benjamin coming out with the NIWA World Title over his shoulder, though it still does not belong to him. Benjamin vs. Bond is next)
James Bond defeated "The Wrestling Badass" Shelton Benjamin via DQ at 17:24 when Benjamin drilled Bond with the NIWA World Title that is no longer his. After the match, the attack still continues, until the Tag Team Champions, Link and Spiderman run out to the ring as Spidey looks for revenge on Benjmain for taking him out last week. Benjamin though retreats and jumps the barricade sprinting out of the ring side. Link and Spidey attend to Bond in the ring, but then out of no where, the camera sees them both attacked by Ganondorf who is continuing his assault on the NIWA roster. Ganon grabs both Link and Spidey by the throat and gives them both a Double Chokeslam to the mat. Ganondorf then slowly turns around to the crowd area, knowing that Shelton Benjamin is still out there. Benjamin is looking on with the title still in hand as Ganondorf gives a cut throat sign in his general direction. Ganondorf is also in the NIWA World Title Tournament, and is looking to make a serious impact as Fight at the Fair 6 approaches.
