From the broadcast booth, Jim Ross, Joey Styles & Jesse “The Body” Ventura welcomed everyone to a special 3 Hour Edition of ASWL Inferno as fireworks exploded all over the arena.
ASWL Commissioner “Rowdy” Roddy Piper arrived to the ring and explained the rules of the mini-gauntlet matches. Piper said that each match has a 10 Minute Time Limit starting with two contenders. Once one contender is eliminated via pinfall, submission, count-out or disqualification, another contender arrives to face the winner until all four contenders have competed. If a match ends in a Double Count-Out, Double Disqualification or a Time Limit Draw, both contenders are out of the match.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin def. Bret “The Hitman” Hart in a mini-gauntlet match via pinfall after the Stone Cold Stunner to become the #1 Contender for the ASWL World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, the rest of The Hart Foundation ran in and attacked Austin until The Clique ran in and went after the Hart Foundation. Both stables brawled and then took their fight outside the ring. “The Franchise” Shane Douglas then ran in and attacked Austin but Austin fought back and then hits Douglas with the Stone Cold Stunner. Then suddenly, the masked man that attacked Austin at Autumn Pain came through the crowd and hits Austin in the back of the head with a lead pipe. The masked man then looked down at Austin to end the show.
