ASWL Inferno Special Event – The 1st Annual Michael “Road Warrior Hawk” Hegstrand Memorial Tournament Night 1

The crowd chants, “LOD, LOD, LOD, LOD, LOD” as the special edition of ASWL Inferno begins as Jim Ross, Jesse “The Body” Ventura and Joey Styles welcomed everyone to the show. The entire ASWL roster surrounds the ring and the rampway as ASWL Owner Theo Clardy stands in the ring with the ASWL Michael “Road Warrior Hawk” Hegstrand Memorial Cup next to him. Clardy said, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! WHAT A RUSH!” The crowd cheered and chanted “LOD! LOD! LOD! LOD! LOD! LOD!” again. Clardy then introduced Joseph “Road Warrior Animal” Laurinaitis & “Precious” Paul Ellering who will be presenting the winning team with the Hegstrand Memorial Cup. Clardy then said, “When I was a kid, I grew up watching The Road Warriors on Television. There hasn’t been a team that has the intensity and the desire than the Road Warriors have. They were also the most intimidating tag team in pro wrestling and also the one of the most celebrated tag teams of all time as they were the first team to ever win the WWE/F, NWA and AWA World Tag Team Championships and they have inspired some of the great tag teams that has proceed them. They were definitely American Originals. Hawk was one half of that celebrated tag team and we honor him tonight by having this special 3 Night, 32 Team Tournament. Road Warrior Hawk loved competing in this very ring and entertaining the fans and tonight, we will do what Hawk loves to do and I know Hawk is looking down from heaven with a big smile on his face as we do this tournament in his honor. Hawk is gone but his spirit will live on forever. Thank you all and enjoy the show!” The crowd cheered and chanted “LOD! LOD! LOD! LOD!” again as Theo, Road Warrior Animal and Paul Ellering leave the ring.
