From the broadcast booth at ringside, Jim Ross, Jesse “The Body” Ventura & Joey Styles welcomed everyone to the last ASWL Inferno before SummerClash.
Randy Orton with “Cowboy” Bob Orton def. Rick Martel with Tito Santana in a SummerClash Workout Match via pinfall after the RKO. During the match, ASWL International Champion “All American” Ron Simmons came out to watch the match from the entrance stage.
In the back, Joel Gertner was interviewing Bret “The Hitman” Hart when Kevin Nash confronted him and said that he wanted Hart tonight in a one-on-one match. Bret said that he has no problem beating up Nash tonight but he knows that the match won’t be one-on-one. Then ASWL Commissioner “Rowdy” Roddy Piper arrived and announced that the match tonight will be one-on-one but it will be a Lumberjack match with the Lumberjacks being the members of Hart and Nash’s respective teams this Sunday at SummerClash. Piper also announced that the 8 man Tag Team Match at SummerClash will be a captain’s fall match and named Bret Hart and Kevin Nash captains of their respective teams. The rules of a Captain’s fall match that the match will only end when either Bret Hart or Kevin Nash is eliminated via pinfall or submission.

ASWL International Champion “All American” Ron Simmons def. “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels via pinfall after the snap powerslam to retain the ASWL International Championship. After the match, Randy Orton with “Cowboy” Bob Orton arrived to the ring and attacked Simmons with a steel chair and then hits the RKO on Simmons on the steel chair.
In the back,”Mean” Gene Okerlund was interviewing The Motor City Machine Guns about losing the tag team titles last week on Inferno to Tomko and MVP and getting a rematch at SummerClash for the titles when Sunny showed up and was about to spray mace on Alex Shelley’s face until Chris Sabin holds her arm and took way the mace. Sabin and Shelley then grabbed Sunny and carried her to the ring. They put Sunny in the tree of woe as MCMG was going for the Bullet Point but Tomko and MVP ran into the ring and brawled with the Machine Guns before Shelley & Sabin was about to execute the move. ASWL Officials ran in to separate the two teams.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts is in the ring for his “Snake’s Pit” interview segment and introduced his guests, The Four Horsemen. The Horsemen said that they are advertised but is not in a match for SummerClash. They then put out an open challenge to any four men in a match at SummerClash. Generation Next then shows up on the entrance ramp and accept the Horsemen’s challenge. ASWL Commissioner “Rowdy” Roddy Piper arrived on All-Star Vision and announce as a little preview of the 8 Man Tag Team match this Sunday, he decides to have the two captains of the factions to go at it right now as Ric Flair takes on Austin Aries.

Austin Aries with Jade Chung def. “Nature Boy Ric Flair with James J. Dillon via pinfall after the 450 Splash after a miscommunication between Barry Windham and Ric Flair as Windham knocked out Flair with a Lariat by accident while the referee was telling Dillon to get out of the apron. Aries then throws Windham out of the ring and dragged Flair in position for the 450 Splash before he hits it and gets the pinfall win.

In the back, Ric Flair is yelling at Barry Windham and told him that if The Horsemen can’t beat Generation Next this Sunday, then Windham’s days as a member of the Horsemen is over!
Samoa Joe def. Honky Tonk Man with Jimmy Hart via disqualification when JBL and Big Van Vader with Harley Race interfered and attack Joe. After the match, Vader and JBL continue to beat up on Joe until ASWL Security Officials arrive to separate Vader and JBL from Joe as JBL screams, “THERE AIN’T NO ONE YOU CAN FIND CAN HELP YOU GET THE ASS BEATING OF YOUR LIFE THIS SUNDAY! SEE YOU SUNDAY YOU FAT BASTARD!”

Robert Roode def. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka via countout when Roode hits Snuka with the Northern Lariat and returned to the ring before the 10 Count. After the match, ASWL Commissioner “Rowdy” Roddy Piper arrived and said a countout didn’t count towards his run at being reinstated and Roode is not going to be reinstated to the company. Roode protested the decision until the ASWL Attorney Clarence Mason arrived and pointed out something in the official agreement contract that if Roode CAN win via pinfall, submission, countout and Disqualification so Roode’s victory does count. Piper looks at the agreement and confirms that the win does count but he STILL has to face Sabu in an Extreme Rules Match this Sunday.

Melina def. Torrie Wilson in the finals of the ASWL Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament via pinfall with a schoolgirl rollup with the feet on the ropes. Melina will face ASWL Women’s Champion Mickie James for the title this Sunday.
In the ring, Jim Ross was interviewing ASWL World Heavyweight Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin about defending the title this Sunday against John Cena of Sunny Enterprises when Sunny Enterprises arrived and surround the ring. Cena then entered the ring and an intense staredown occurred between Austin and Cena then Edge entered the ring and tries to attack Austin from behind. Austin then turned around and went for the Stone Cold Stunner but Edge blocked it and Cena knocked out Austin with a right hand draped with a steel chain. The rest of Sunny Enterprises then ganged up on Austin and started beating him to the ground. Cena then takes the steel chain and began to choke Austin as he is busted wide open after that shot with the same chain by Cena. Tomko, MVP and Edge then carried a lifeless “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to the parking lot and dumped him in the trunk of a car. Cena then sees a big rig and enters the vehicle. Cena was about to run the big rig into the trunk of the car that contained Austin when “The Franchise” Shane Douglas appeared out of nowhere and told Cena to stop what he was doing. Cena then got out of the big rig and stared at Douglas before Shane showed a sick grin on his face and said, “ALLOW ME!” Cena smiled and handed Douglas the keys to the big rig and Douglas entered the big rig and drove the big rig and slammed it into the trunk of the car with Austin in it. Cena then stood on the top of the car with the ASWL World Heavyweight title in his hand and said, “THIS IS A PICTURE OF WHAT’S TO COME AND THERE’S NO INTERNET CRYBABY’S GOING TO PREVENT ME FROM MY DESTINY THIS SUNDAY! THIS SUNDAY…THE CHAMP IS HERE!” Cena then looks down at the handy work with a sinister grin on his face to end the show.
