ASWL Presents…Independence Brawl
Sunday July 20th, 2008
Dolphins Stadium
Miami, Florida
The show begins with Red Hot Chili Peppers performing “Hump de Bump” on the Entrance Stage. During the performance they introduced ASWL Owner Theo Clardy and he made his way to the ring as they continued to perform the song.
ASWL Owner Theo Clardy welcomed everyone to Independence Brawl and to the most interesting competition in pro wrestling, the Ultimate Elimination competition. Clardy then thanked Red Hot Chili Peppers for their musical performance and then announced that in addition to the other non Ultimate Survival Matches announced throughout the month, a new match as been added tonight as there will be a Four Way Dance between Motor City Machine Guns, The Impact Players, Latin American XChange & Age Of The Fall in which the winners will be the #1 Contenders for the ASWL World Tag Team Championship. Clardy then explained the rules to the Ultimate Survival competition. Clardy announced that he and ASWL Commissioner “Rowdy” Roddy Piper will be backstage and draw superstars at random. Two superstars that are drawn first will wrestle in the ring in a one on one match until there is a winner. Each match will have a 15 Minute Time Limit. Winner of the match will face the man that has drawn #3. If that man wins, he faces the man that drew #4 and the process continues until the man that drew #50 has entered the ring. Eliminations happen via pinfall, submission, Disqualification, countout or throwing your opponent over the top rope and both feet hitting the floor. If there’s a Double Count-Out, Double DQ or a Time Limit Draw, both men will be eliminated and two new stars will enter the match. The man that is the last man standing will become the #1 Contender for the ASWL World Heavyweight Championship. Now the one with the most wins will be the #1 contender for the ASWL International Championship. Clardy then stated, “The luck of the draw is very important.” Clardy wished all the superstars participating in the match the best of luck and then leaves the ring.
From the broadcast booth at ringside, Jim Ross & Jesse “The Body” Ventura welcomed everyone to Independence Brawl and announced that every tenth man that has entered the ring and wrestled one match, there would be a break in the Ultimate Survival match to allow one of the other non Ultimate Survival matches on the card.
