From the broadcast booth at ringside, Jim Ross and Jesse “The Body” Ventura welcomed everyone to ASWL Inferno. JR said, “Tonight is a huge night for ASWL Inferno because tonight we will have 5 Huge Title Matches. Check out these matches, The Dudley Boyz defend the ASWL World Tag Team Championship against Demolition, Rob Van Dam defends the ASWL International Championship against ‘The Legend Killer’ Randy Orton and in a rematch from last Sunday’s May Mayhem as Trish Stratus defends the ASWL Women’s title against Awesome Kong in the first ever Women’s Extreme Rules match!” Jesse Ventura continued, “Those are some main event quality matches but lets not forget the World title on the line between two of the most celebrated superstars in pro wrestling as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin takes on ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair for the ASWL World Heavyweight Championship! All of these great matches and it’s not even an ASWL Pay Per View!” Jim Ross said, “Well we are going to kick off ASWL Inferno with a match for the ASWL International Tag Team Championship as we sent it to Lillian Garcia!”
ASWL International Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz with Lita def. The Steiner Brothers via pinfall when Jeff Hardy pinned Rick Steiner with the Swanton Bomb. After the match, both teams stared at each other in the middle of the ring. The Steiners extend their hands to The Hardyz. The Hardyz accepted the hands and shook their hands then The Steiner Brothers leave the ring as The Hardyz celebrated the win.
In the back, Ron Simmons parked his car in the arena parking lot. Just as Simmons exit out of the car, Butch Reed attacked Simmons and slammed the car door on Simmons right arm. Reed continues to attack Simmons as Theodore Long arrived and yelled at Simmons, “You never learn, playa! You will never be a champion in the ASWL without us and you know it!” ASWL Security and Officials arrived and pulled Reed off of Simmons. Security demanded that Reed and Long leave the arena immediately or they both will be arrested. An ambulance then pulls up and a stretcher was brought out. EMTs then loaded up Simmons in the stretcher and were put in the Ambulance. After he was in the Ambulance, he was taken away from the arena.

In the back, “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviewed “Nature Boy” Ric Flair about his chance of winning the ASWL World Heavyweight Championship tonight against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin tonight. Flair said that tonight is his chance at history and he’ll become a 17 Time World Champion tonight.
Mr. Kennedy def. ASWL International Champion Rob Van Dan with Bill Alfonso via pinfall after the Mic Check to become the NEW ASWL International Champion.
In the back, Joel Gertner interviewed ASWL Owner Theo Clardy about what ASWL Commissioner Mick Foley’s actions last Sunday at May Mayhem in the Barbed Wire Match. Clardy said that he talked to Foley about his actions last Sunday and they came to a mutual agreement. Clardy announced that Mick Foley has stepped down as ASWL Commissioner and he will be an active competitor in the ASWL. Clardy also announced that he will be in a match at Caged Fury for the ASWL King Of Extreme Championship as Foley will take on Tommy Dreamer and Raven in a Triple Threat Cage Of Hardcore Match Where there will be Four Trashcans in each side of the cage that will be full of weapons that will be used at anytime throughout the match and also there will be Four Tables on each side of the cage outside the ring in which the only way to win is by pinfall or submission. Joel then asked Theo about who will be the new Commissioner and Clardy said that he’ll announce it next week on Inferno.

In the back, “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviews “Stone Cold” Steve Austin about defending the ASWL World title against Ric Flair tonight. Stone Cold said that it doesn’t matter how many World titles Flair has won over the years, he’s not beating Austin tonight for the World Title and the belt stays with Austin tonight!
ASWL Women’s Champion Trish Stratus def. Awesome Kong in an Extreme Rules Match via pinfall after the Stratusfaction Bulldog through the table.
At the hospital, Ron Simmons arrived in the ambulance. But once the ambulance doors open, Butch Reed and Theodore Long, pulled up in Reed’s car and Reed attacked Simmons again, pulling him out of the ambulance on the stretcher and knocking it over. Reed then picked up Simmons and hits a vicious DDT onto the asphalt before Hospital security and San Antonio police arrived and sent Reed and Long away.

ASWL World Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz with Stacy Kiebler def. Demolition via pinfall when Bubba Ray pinned Smash after the Dudley Death Drop (3D).
In the back, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas along with Francine arrived in Theo Clardy’s office and asked that the World Title match between Austin and Flair be a Triple Threat Match tonight because Douglas believed that he didn’t get a fair shake last Sunday. Clardy told Douglas, “Hey, it isn’t my fault that blew your chance at the title last Sunday. You can try and bully me all you want about adding your name to tonight’s main event, but in the ASWL you have to earn your title shot. You want another World title opportunity; you would have to convince me and the Board Of Directors that you want another shot at the title. Tonight Shane, you will be facing former WWE Champion John Cena. If you win, maybe I and the new commissioner that will be announced next week will probably get you for World Title consideration.” Douglas then begins to leave but Clardy stopped him. Clardy then said, “Oh, by the way, you better have your gear on because your match is up next!” A frustrated Douglas and Francine then leaves Theo’s office as Theo looked on.

In the back, Gertner interviews ASWL Women’s Tag Team Champions “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix & Melina about being the first team to win the Championship last Sunday at May Mayhem. They said that they are the perfect tag team to be the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Gertner then mentioned that up next there will be a Fatal Four Way Match to determine who will face Phoenix & Melina at Caged Fury for the titles in a Steel Cage. Melina and Phoenix said that they don’t care who they face at Caged Fury because they are the superior Women’s Tag Team in the ASWL and they got the gold to prove it.

Austin Aries def. “PrimeTime” Elix Skipper with “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels and Low-Ki via pinfall after the 450 Splash. After the match, “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson ran to the ring and attacked Aries form behind. He then elbows him repeatedly to the head until he was busted open. Danielson then takes some of the blood and puts it on his chest like its warpaint and screams at Aries, “IT’S NOT OVER UNTIL I SAY IT’S OVER!!!!” Danielson then leaves as medics tend to Aries

ASWL World Heavyweight Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair with James J. Dillon ended in a no contest when “The Franchise” Shane Douglas interfered and attacked both men. Douglas hits the Pittsburgh Plunge on Austin and then he gets out a mini chain from his jean packet and wrapped it on his right hand. Douglas then knocked out Flair with the loaded right hand. Douglas then picks up the ASWL World Title belt and raises it high to end the show this week.
