The pyro shoots up from the May Mayhem stage as the official theme song of ASWL May Mayhem, “Discipline” by Nine Inch Nails playing in the background and the cameras pan across the sold out Astrodome crowd cheering as May Mayhem is underway. From the ringside announce booth, Jim Ross and Jesse “The Body” Ventura welcomed everyone to the ASWL May Mayhem Pay Per View. They ran down the complete card for the event and then sent it out to Lillian Garcia for the introductions of the first match of the night.
The Hardy Boyz with Lita def. ASWL International Tag Team Champions The Fabulous Freebirds with Sunshine via pinfall when Jeff Hardy pinned Michael “P.S.” Hayes after the Swanton Bomb to become the NEW ASWL International Tag Team Champions. After the match, Sunshine entered the ring and tried to attack the Hardyz with a lead pipe but she was blocked by Lita as she hits the Twist Of Fate on Sunshine then went to the top rope and hits the Moonsault. Team Xtreme then celebrated in the ring with their newly won ASWL International Tag Team title belts.
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper entered the ring for his “Piper’s Pit” segment and introduced his guest: Doom with Theodore Long. Piper asked Butch Reed why he and Long left Simmons to be attacked last week on Inferno, Long stepped in and said that he and Reed have been disappointed in Simmons as of late as he loses matches for Doom. Simmons then reminded Long that Reed had lost matches for Doom as well. Reed then fired back by saying the reason for it being that Simmons wasn’t there to watch his back. Long then said that Simmons had been focusing on becoming a singles champion in ASWL and says that Simmons’s dream of becoming a singles champion is pathetic and that he can’t win gold in the ASWL without Long and Reed. Reed then said, “Ron, you got to get your head in the game and focused on helping me and Long win a World Tag Team title shot tonight.” Reed then slaps Simmons to get his attention and once again Simmons looks like he’s ready to fight Reed but then he looks dejected and respond by saying, “Ok. Let’s do this!” Doom and Theodore Long then leave the ring.
ASWL International Champion Rob Van Dam with Bill Alfonso def. Shelton Benjamin via pinfall after the Five Star Frog Splash to retain the ASWL International Championship.
ASWL World Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz with Stacy Keibler & Joel Gertner def. Strike Force via pinfall when D’Von Dudley pinned Rick Martel after Bubba Ray Dudley hit Martel with Stacy’s right heel boot. During the match, Martel locked D’Von in the Boston Crab but the referee was distracted with Tito Santana and Stacy took off her right heel boot and hand it to Bubba Ray. He ran to the ring with the boot and hits Martel with it then slides it to Stacy and she gets the shoe back on. Bubba Ray then placed D’Von on top of Martel for the pinfall and win.
Mr. Kennedy def. Bret “The Hitman” Hart, CM Punk and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles in a Fatal Four Way Match via pinfall when Kennedy pinned Styles after hitting Punk with the Mic Check after Punk hits Styles with the GTS to become the #1 Contender for the ASWL International Championship.
ASWL Women’s Champion Trish Stratus def. Awesome Kong via disqualification. Kong originally won the match via pinfall after the sit-out Awesome Bomb, but Kong continued to attack Stratus after the bell. The assigned referee for the match, Charles Robinson reversed the decision and gave the match to Stratus via Disqualification. Kong then hit Robinson with the sit-out Awesome Bomb then leaves the ring.
Demolition def. Doom with Theodore Long and The Impact Players with Dawn Marie and Jason in a Three Way Dance to become the #1 Contenders for the ASWL World Tag Team Championship.
Order Of Elimination
-- Doom was eliminated by Demolition via pinfall when Ax pinned Ron Simmons after the Decapitation Device. After being eliminated, Reed and Long berated Simmons again and then Reed slaps Simmons hard in the face before he and Long left the ring. A disgruntled but dejected Ron Simmons left the ring with them. Butch Reed then turned around and slapped him even harder and then turned around to continue leaving. Simmons dejected look turned into pure anger and when Reed turned around again, Simmons gives Reed a vicious Spinebuster on the entrance ramp and then gave Long a Spinebuster as well on the entrance ramp. Simmons then looked around the crowd who is cheering Simmons’s actions and then he walks to the back.
-- The Impact Players was eliminated by Demolition via pinfall after Smash pinned Lance Storm after the DDT.
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair with James J. Dillon def. The Rock, Kurt Angle with Karen Angle and The Undertaker in a Four Way Dance to become the #1 Contender for the ASWL World Heavyweight Championship.
Order Of Elimination
-- Randy Orton eliminated by The Undertaker via pinfall after the Tombstone Piledriver.
-- The Rock eliminated by “Nature Boy” Ric Flair via pinfall with a schoolboy rollup as he pulled on Rock’s Tights.
-- The Undertaker eliminated by Ric Flair via pinfall. The Undertaker had the match won with the Tombstone Piledriver but the referee was knocked out. Suddenly, Big Van Vader ran in and attacked Undertaker from behind and then hits the Vader Bomb. Vader then leaves as Flair crawls over and pinned Taker for the pinfall win.
The Steiner Brothers def. The Outsiders via pinfall when Rick Steiner pinned Scott Hall after the Super Steiner Drop Bulldog to become the #1 Contenders for the ASWL International Tag Team Championship.
Austin Aries def. “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls Match 2-1.

-- Danielson def. Aries via submission when Aries tap out to the Cattle Mutilation.
-- Aries def. Danielson via pinfall after the 450 Splash.
-- Aries def. Danielson via pinfall with a float over springboard backpress to counter Danielson’s Crossface Chickenwing.
Sting & D-Generation X (HBK & Triple H) def. The Horsemen (Tully Blanchard , "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Barry Windham) via pifinall when Triple H pinned Barry Windham after HBK hits Sweet Chin Music on Barry and Triple H followed it up with a Pedigree on Barry for the pinfall win.
“The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix & Melina def. Velvet Love Entertainment (Angelina Love & Velvet Sky), and Molly Holly & Victoria via pinfall when Phoenix pinned Velvet Sky after the Fisherman’s Suplex to become the first ever ASWL Women’s Tag Team Champions.
ASWL King Of Extreme Champion Tommy Dreamer with Beulah McGuillicutty def. Raven in a Barbed Wire Match with ASWL Commissioner Mick Foley as the Special Guest referee via pinfall to retain the ASWL King Of Extreme Championship. During the match, Raven was arguing Foley about the two count after a bloodied Raven hits the Evenflow DDT. Raven then decked Foley and whipped him into the Barbed Wire ropes. Moments later, Foley charged over and attacked Raven. Foley then got out Mr. Socko and put it on his hand. He then found some Barbed Wire in the ring and then wrapped the Barbed Wire on Mr. Socko. Foley then puts in the Mandible Claw using the Barbed Wire Mr. Socko on Raven. A Bloodied Dreamer then got up and Foley let go of the Mandible Claw and Dreamer hits the Spicoli Driver and pins Raven for the pinfall and the win.
ASWL World Heavyweight Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin def. “The Franchise” Shane Douglas with Francine via pinfall after the Stone Cold Stunner.
