To Determine the #30 Spot In The Royal Rumble Match
"Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs. Edge

-- HBK eliminated Edge in the Elimination Chamber Match, but then Edge cost HBK the World Heavyweight Championship in the same match.
-- Edge blames HBK for not being World Heavyweight Champion.
-- Match booked for Royal Rumble where the winner gets the #30 entry in the Royal Rumble Match.

WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus (c) vs. Lita

-- Lita won the Women's Championship at Tribute To The Troops against Trish Stratus.
-- Trish Stratus regains the title at New Year's Revolution against Lita.
-- Trish-Lita III announced for Royal Rumble. Its being hyped as the Rubber Match between the two divas.

WWE Championship
Triple Threat Match
John Bradshaw Layfield vs. The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle

-- The Undertaker fought Kurt Angle in a #1 Contender's Match which ended with a Double Pinfall.
-- JBL claims that neither Undertaker nor Angle is next in line for a WWE title shot.
-- Smackdown GM Theodore Long said that JBL will defend the title at Royal Rumble against Taker and Angle in a Triple Threat Match.

Last Man Standing Match
World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H

-- Build up from Tribute To The Troops and New Year's Revolution.
-- During his time as World Champion, Orton build a relationship with Stacy Keibler.
-- Triple H won a Fatal Four Way Match against Chris Benoit, Batista and HBK to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.
-- After the match, it was announced by RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff that the match will be a Last Man Standing Match.
-- On the final week before Royal Rumble, Triple H pedigreed Stacy Keibler as a message to Randy Orton.

2005 Royal Rumble Match

-- 30 Superstars compete in the match.
-- Winner will choose which World Title to go for at Wrestlemania 21.

To Determine the #30 Spot In The Royal Rumble Match
"Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs. Edge
Result: HBK wins the match via pinfall after Sweet Chin Music earning him the #30 entry in the Royal Rumble Match.

WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus (c) vs. Lita
Result: Match ends in a Double Disqualification when both Trish & Lita shoved down the Referee.

WWE Championship
Triple Threat Match
John Bradshaw Layfield (c) vs. The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle
Result: The Undertaker won the WWE Championship after pinning JBL after the Tombstone Piledriver.

Last Man Standing Match
World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H
Result: Triple H won the match after a Pedigree on the concrete floor and then Orton not answering the 10 Count to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

2005 Royal Rumble Match
Result: Batista & John Cena become Co-Winners of the 2005 Royal Rumble. It ended the same way as the that year's Royal Rumble was but instead of having a restart with Cena and Batista. McMahon announced that both Batista and John Cena are co-winners of the Royal Rumble.
